Yarn Wrapped Wreath

Yarn Wrapped Wreath

Greet visitors to your house with this whimsical "welcome" wreath. Wrap a Styrofoam frame with two colors of yarn, stopping at the mid-line and using sewing pins and glue to anchor the ends. Find two small sticks from your yard and wrap them in brown or tan yarn. Add them to your wreath with some fun buttons and pom-poms, and then use cardstock to finish it with a DIY "welcome" banner.

Simple Paper Wreath

While the leaves are still falling from the trees, bring some festive fall decor to your door with this super chic paper leaf-filled wreath. Use a leaf-shaped paper punch with different colored and patterned paper, and then pinch each leaf at the bottom to give it dimension. Glue the leaves around a cardboard wreath frame, overlapping at the stem, and add a simple ribbon to hang.

Plush Wreath

With the change of seasons comes the eventual closet purge. Before you donate your kids' worn out clothes, turn a long sleeve t-shirt into this super-soft wreath. Cut off the sleeves and sew them together along one side. Then, cover a wreath form with a bunch of batting, and fit your sleeve around the stuffing. Sew the open side of the sleeve around the batting to close, and add fabric flowers, buttons, or anything pretty you have laying around the house.
